(talking about the ending he wrote post-production that seemed better than the others though still not perfect)

Perhaps this is my problem with writing. Most of the time I don't know exactly where I'm going.

Yeah, the ending to 'Threesome' has never felt right to me. And the alternate one on the dvd just depressed me.

Still love the movie, though.

I'm not sure I agree with him. Yes, I think there should be a vague idea of how the story wraps up - but if the outline is too tight it doesn't allow for the characters to develop on their own through the action of the story. Sometimes I find that my characters do things I might not have originally expected. If I had the ending completely mapped out to start with, I don't think this could happen. Or at least, not so easily.
