I'm PISSED at myself.

I placed an order at the WBShop for HP stuff. The first order had the wrong address (I must have been a complete idiot and typed a 6 where it should have been a 5) and instead of trying to deliver it, it got sent back. So I was out $7 on that. I placed my order a SECOND time and because there's a shirt I wanted in time for Friday, I had it mailed 2-day express. I got it today (yay) however, the size of the shirt is completely wrong. Like an IDIOT when I placed the order a second time I put down Small instead of Large. I was just so pissed about the package being returned in the first place I must have forgotten to carefully study the confirmation. So I can kind of squeeze into it, but if I'm going to buy a $20 shirt, I'd like it to fit. GAH! I'm such an idiot! So now I have to pay to return it for an exchange, and probably pay to have it sent back, but it won't be in time for Friday, which is when I really wanted to wear it, obviously. Crap. I'm SO disappointed now. I guess I could re-order it today and hope it arrives by Friday if I pay another $14... but that's just insane. That's, like, spending an extra $50 on this one shirt which is already expensive. I'M SUCH AN IDIOT!

Yeah... I know people do stupid stuff all the time... I'm just hoping this fills my quota for the month. Stupid me *kicks self*

What shirt did you get for Friday night?

I took my daughter and niece out last weekend and we all got V-neck shirts with tank tops so that we could represent our favorite houses. My niece (9) loves Hermione and she is going Gryffindor, my daughter (14) is representing Ravenclaw and I am going to be from Hufflepuff. We are even streaking our hair in the appropriate colors and of course, taking this opportunity to take our Magic Wands along! Can't wait!!!

I really ought to have reread at least books 5 and 6 before now. Book 5 I've only read twice, and book 6 only once. The details of book 6 especially are very sketchy to me. There's still a couple days, I might be able to swing book 6...

YIKES! Go unfriend/unjoin that hufflepuff LJ community as soon as possible! I was reading your friends list and someone got ahold of a copy of the book scanned online and just posted, with no spoiler cut at all, exactly who dies and exactly on what pages. I only caught 2 names (there was a list of over a half dozen) but those 2 names were two more than I wanted to know about. That's what I get for thinking I'd be safe continuing to read LJ up until Friday night. Ouch.

Oh, and I'm sorry about your shirt.

I envy everyone that's getting to have a major party with this though. I just realized that this Friday night is the day I agreed to swap with a coworker on the opposite week of nights. So I'll be going in to work Friday night at 9:30pm and I don't get off until 8am. Hopefully, Meijer won't be sold-out of the books by Saturday morning. If they are, I can wait, though it'll be harder to remain unspoiled after this weekend's over. I can always reread my favorite LOTR fics though. Or grab a copy of 'The Children of Hurin'. ;)

Anyway, enjoy your party! I'm sure it'll be a blast, even without the kickass tshirt. You can always wear house colors and carry a purse with your little stuffed Padfoot and Moony sticking out the top. *G*

If you want to get something to wear for the realease tonight (I meant to post this a few days ago, which would have helped more) you can run over to your local Hot Topic. They have HP clothes.
