Had a good weekend

tarotgalI had a pretty good weekend. The writing bug is starting to creep back up on me. I've been kind of blocked since my Iowa trip. I started a little Fantastic Four fic today that's going well enough (even if the characters aren't exactly well enough *G*).
I'm watching Velvet Goldmine for the SECOND time today *G* It loses some magic on LOGO, but, hell, it's still a great movie. The first time, I was eating breakfast and Maxwell came and joined me on the couch. He curled up on his back and started kneading in the air the moment Maxwell Demon/Brian started singing and as soon as the song was over, he jumped back down. Kind of spooky since he never gets that into anything unless we're having cuddle time, but I wasn't even petting him. Looks like I gave him the right name!
I watched the finale of Grand Slam on Sat. Yay Ken Jennings!!! It was such a great match. Speaking of games, I'm getting obsessed with Peggle: http://zone.msn.com/en/peggle/default.htm
I caught up on InuYasha episodes and watched a few movies, too.
On Saturday, I also went to the new-to-me thrift store. Actually, I went on Friday to get something and in the display window was a whole selection of clothing and items they'd assembled in honor of the Maryland Renaissance Faire. I've always wanted something cool to wear to events like that. The person at the counter said people from a local Shakespearian company were coming to look at the items on Sunday, so to come back before then if I wanted anything. So I went back Sat and tried a few things on. The one I liked the most actually fits and looks pretty good on me. They were also having a 75% off toys & sports sale so I got a few puzzles and a beautiful Series of Unfortunate Events board game. I got a few books, too. Can't resist those books!
Parents spent the whole weekend doing something with the washer & dryer. They hooked it back up and I'm doing 4 loads of laundry now. I'm on load #3 at the moment.
And I caught up on sleep... and released a bunch of books... so a good weekend, all in all! :-) I'll probably cap it off by watching a few Fantastic Four episodes, and two new HBO shows tonight :-)
