*happy sigh*
Dec. 20th, 2007 07:09 pmWorst night EVER last night. Sorry I've been so miserable in my last posts. I finally fell asleep this morning around 6 and woke up at 7:10 in order to call my doctor. I got an appointment for 8:45 (and another half hour of sleep) then went to the doctor for the second time since this stupid cold began. Now I'm on antibiotics (which I don't like being on, but the doctor seemed to think it was time) and an acid reflux medicine which should hopefully combat the nausea. I got a few more hours of sleep this afternoon- which is a good sign since I hadn't been able to sleep all night. And now I'm feeling great in comparison. Still stick but OMG not constantly about to throw up which is SUCH a relief!!!! The pills are WAY too big for me, and I didn't get the Musinex DM pill down the first time. Oh gods I HATE swallowing pills- but if it's between not taking pills resulting in me definitely getting sick and taking pills that possibly result in me getting sick, I'm choosing the latter and crossing my fingers.
Contact was on last night at 2am. I camped out in the bathroom so I missed most of it, including the "cameo" of my high school drama teacher. But I did get some reading done, so that's good. And I set up my laptop to talk properly with my website at work so I can update from home now, which I wanted to do before the holidays at any rate. So yay.
I was thinking of going to work later tonight to turn in corrected time sheets/leave forms, backup my system, leave presents, and clean up my office. But if I make it through the night all right, I'll definitely go to work again tomorrow without worrying. Or at least stop by for a few hours of quality work.
But, yeah, I'm on lots of meds and feeling SO much better today. Of course, I felt pretty good Tuesday when I stayed home all day, too, so it could just be my freedom to cough/blow nose here (cuz I don't like doing that at work). So we'll see.

Date: 2007-12-21 02:48 am (UTC)And I sympathize on antibiotics...I hate them with a passion, but from what I learned on a research project on antibiotics, if you go in and the doctor knows you Don't want them, they won't prescribe them unless necessary. However if you go in and the doctor thinks you expect them, they're more likely to prescribe them.
But as much as they suck, sometimes, they're necessary. And acid reflux stuff can really help with the yuck. I've had them prescribed to me for that reason in the past.
Hopefully you'll be able to get a bit of work done tomorrow, but make sure you get plenty of rest. :)
