So I just found out I won't be celebrating my birthday with family next week on my birthday :-(
Here's how the conversation went.

Me: So I'm doing this thing where I take 6-8 pictures a day of my life for one of my blogs. I'm excited about it since this is an important week.
Mom: It is?
Me: Um, my birthday is this week.
Mom: Oh yeah. About that. I meant to ask, can we celebrate it on Sunday instead of Saturday? Your dad won't be here Saturday.
Me: That's not going to work.
Mom: Why?
Me: Because I'm already BUSY Sunday.

Okay, so I know I don't have MUCH of a social life, but I schedule things WEEKS in advance. I can't just go out and do something. I'm not that kind of person. I schedule EVERYTHING mentally right down to laundry and bathroom breaks at least a week in advance. LOL So... now my Saturday evening plans are bust. BUT it means I will assuredly have Torchwood finale time. THAT will make a happy birthday indeed. Maybe. Depends what happens in the episode! LOL

I think the daily photo taking project is an interesting idea, I think I might have to join you. :-)

Sorry about your family forgetting your birthday. I often forget my own. Not to mention that my dad often thinks I'm still a teenager and has to ask me what year I was born...Hopefully you'll get time to do everything you planned and more.

I'm off to chaperone a Nature's Classroom trip for the week. See how old I really am! 22 sixth grade girls in my dorm it should be an interesting week, also no electronic devices...

Oohhhh! I can't wait to hear what you think about the Firefly fic as I'm especially worried about it! And it'll be great to have another Firefly fan to talk to online, especially since I'm so new to the fandom, too. Squee! Enjoy the series/big damn movie!

I'm envious of you, actually. I'd love to get to do things like chaperoning a nature field trip! Okay, so no electronic devices is a downer, but it's just a week. Let me know how it went when you get back. Hope you had fun!
