They say it's better the second time
Aug. 12th, 2008 01:20 amThey say you get to do the weird stuff :-)
Okay, so I've been working my butt off coding fics and adding them to the archive. 15 today & 18 last week. And I'd expect a bit of praise... except for the fact that these updates are HORRIBLY overdue. I've coded every story that's come in since getting my new computer and this past week and today I finished off all the stories posted or sent to me in... wait for it... 2006. OMG yes. Your slacker of an archivist JUST made it up to the beginning of 2007. That is awful and pathetic. I deserve no praise whatsoever for letting the lovely archive of sneezefic goodness (yes, that's it's official subtitle, tell your friends) go so long without proper updates. And I'm genuinely sorry about that.
But DO contact me if you notice a 2006 story that isn't up there. Or if you notice any problems. There are a couple pieces up there I've noticed are actually W.I.P.s and they're listed as complete. But otherwise I think I fixed the bunches of errors I came upon. (Terribly embarrassing error example: I had one of my very own Star Wars stories classified under Harry Potter. Poor Qui! He must have been so confused, the poor darling.)
Now I just need to get through the roughly 100 posts from all of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 and I'll be caught up! The new To Do system I've been using since I got my new computer and installed the new Office suite really makes it easy to see what fics are still outstanding so I should be able to keep up with any new entries very easily. I even got one submitted this very day coded and already added to the site. Yayness.
Sorry again for being such a slacker.
And speaking of being a slacker... who's still not finished all the holiday giftfics she was supposed to write? *looks around* Oh, it's me too! *hides under desk until you stop throwing rocks*
