I bought some new foods at the grocery store today. Soy milk (which I've tried before and didn't love, but I'm going to try it with Instant Breakfast and see what it's like), soy cheese, organic all-fruit strips, and soy yogurt. Doesn't hurt to give 'em a try, right? Considering dairy does such awful things to my system, I'm thinking cutting back on it isn't such a bad idea. Cheese will still be in, like, everything else I eat. But I'm being very brave and trying new stuff. I don't like change. Change is bad. So this is a big thing for me :-) One small step for tg...
My Remus/Sirius FQF fic is due in a day and I don't have even a full page written. The muses hate me (which is why I spent hours coding & adding fics to the archive last night instead of actually writing).
Going to a book sale tomorrow at the local thrift store. Going to try to spend less than $20 but get as much books as will fit into paper bags. *crosses fingers*
I cleaned part of my room today. I must say, the new section will take some getting used to organizationally but it looks much better. And I can walk through the room without worrying about knocking over piles of books. That's always good :-)
A BookCrosser just sent me a copy of Fireflies by Ally Blue. Gay fairy warriors having kinky gay sex? What's not to like?!
I'm debating purchasing Watchmen for $9.99. I LOVED it, but I don't know how many times I'd re-read it. It would mostly be there as a reference or just to say I owned it. And there are SO many other books I have to buy instead. Ugh. I have no money. I shouldn't even be considering it. But it's only $9.99! Such a good deal! *head explodes from indecision*
Primeval didn't record properly tonight. Don't know why not. Kind of unsettling when DVR shows don't tape properly. Also just found out I missed another Doctor Who episode when taping. I got through the first Silence in the Library episode and then, suddenly, no part 2! UGH! My inability to tape is making my life very difficult.
Finished Season 2 of Dexter today. Considered briefly subscribing to Showtime... but I think financially it makes more sense to just wait it out and watch season 3 in a year when it's out on DVD, like I do withe the L Word et. al.
I really need to write Sirius/Remus but my eyes are so tired and it's 2am.

Also, if you're just looking at eliminating lactose (for lactose intolerance vs rather than eliminating dairy for vegan) Organic Valley (I don't know if they have that brand out by you) makes an Organic Lactose free milk that tastes exactly like regular milk. It's the only lactose free milk that does. Every other lactose free milk I've tried, like that lactaid milk stuff tastes like baby formula (to me anyway)
I'm just happy because at first I was all grouchy because I'm trying to stick to being veggie again, and discovered that dad made jambalaya...and then was all psyched because he made it with fake-meat. (I love him so much right now)
