I've been enjoying rewatching HL episodes on TNN. They include some of the Euro-minutes that even I have never seen before for some epsidoes! Tonight's ep was 'The Darkness' which is arguably the saddest episode of the entire series. I cry my eyes out every time. It was FANTASTIC to see the scene with Duncan and Richie talking about living and marriage and Tessa- I'd never seen it before. I see why they cut it, but it was great for me to see nonetheless. I also thought it was interesting that they showed Richie waking up on the street after being shot- I'd never seen that before in the episode either.
Anyway, after dust in the wind and the end scene which always makes me cry, I called boyfriend (I told him he had to watch this one as it's a huge change in the series) and I asked what he thought. "Oh, I'd seen the end before," he says. And that's it. No "Wow, that was a sweet tribute..." or "it's so sad the way she died, after all that, how tragic..." or "You're right, that does change the series. I was wondering why he was so concerned with just Tessa dying when Richie was also dead" But nothing. NOTHING. Is this just guys, or is mine just not talkative when it comes to things I like? LOL Heaven forbid we actually discuss something! I must say, he's given me a few good HP discussions now that we're done with the first 4 books... but hell, why watch a show I love and not talk to me about what he thinks about it? *sigh* Silly boyfriend. :-)
On another note, I'm going to buy HL season 2 on DVD. It just got released today. YAY! I never bought it on video like I did with seasosn 1 and 4, so this is a good move for me. The 2nd, 4th, and 5h seasons are my favorite.
On yet another note, I got another e-mail from a reporter wanting to do a story for an FSU paper, entertainment/leisure section, on the sneeze fetish. If I had a dollar... anyway, assuming he's being truthful, I gave him some links but I'm sick of giving quotes and never hearing back. So we shall see what comes of this.
