Good & bad news
Jan. 10th, 2009 11:47 pmGood news: I am now the proud owner of a brand new Honda Element. Not the color I wanted, and no cassette player, and I don't know how I'm going to pay for it yet (I have a temporary absurdly high loan from Honda and will call credit unions on Monday to get loan at 6% at the worst). It doesn't feel real quite yet still. I've been wanting an Element for soooo many years-- ever since they came out. And I've never bought a car form a dealership before. So it was a HELL of a lot more exhausting emotionally than I thought it would be. Who woulda thought you could get so drained just sitting and talking and trying not to get strongarmed into spending too much money? I cried when I traded in my car (for all of $100 trade-in value LMAO). Still not real to me yet.
Bad news: I'm not done with Lady K's giftfic. I'm so sorry, Lady Korana!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's started and I have it mostly worked out in my head (all but the very ending). I'll have it done soon!

Date: 2009-01-11 02:51 pm (UTC)I've been kinda shopping/planning for a new car for about two years now and still am very very undecided on what to get. Part of me wants good gas mileage or even a hybrid, part of me wants practical, part of me wants fun and sporty, and part of me wants something higher end like a BMW, Lexus, or an Audi (not influenced at all by Ianto driving an Audi, of course *G*). I envy you knowing exactly which car you want. I'm just lucky that my 1999 Ford Taurus shows no signs of wearing down yet, other than just some rust and scratches here and there.
