Yesterday, spur of the moment, I bought the Wizard Rock Calendar for 2010. So that's going to be my calendar for next year, and I'm happy with that decision.
There's a Blockbuster going out of business down the street from my house (makes me SO sad. That's 3 out of 4 local ones that have gone under in the past several years). They're having a clearance sale. EVERYTHING must go. And when they say everything, they mean EVERYTHING. Shelves, chairs, the backing cards to mark the place of DVDs, etc. I bought about $30 worth of stuff:
Not entirely sure what to do with some of these cards- some will accompany gifts, some will be part of art projects, some will be eye candy, some will be slipped into the Gay Cinemaology book before I pass it on in a Bookbox).
This is book sale weekend at my local library. I'm going away to FaerieCon so I'll miss days 2 and 3 (bag sale) but I'm hitting the first 2 hours of the each sale. I got some amazing books from book sale #1: http://katekintailbc.livejournal.com/41049.html
The highlights include:
But I'm pretty excited about everything I bought, so just check out the full list :-)
I've also been buying some LEGO so I can work on my Harry Potter Christmas display in time to finish it by Christmas! And I bought some pieces for the Room of Requirement LEGO display and the Hockey one as well. AND I purchased the movie 3 Hagrid's Hut LEGO set. So apart from the $350+ motorized Hogwarts Express, I now own EVERY Harry Potter LEGO set! Yay!
Okay. Now I'm off to buy some last minute trip supplies/food.
