Shtuff of the day
May. 23rd, 2003 09:23 pmI'm watching my new Chronicles of Narnia DVDs right now *G* I started with Prince Caspian (is my least favorite, perhaps because it's so short compared with the book) My little girl crush on Ed and Peter are returning *G* Voyage of the Dawn Tredder is next. *G* I know these movies by heart. I'm so excited to have them on DVD
Thus, I chickened out of the bridal shower. Ah well. I'm sure they'll have much more fun without me. I don't really even know the bride :-) So I'm DDing for my boyfriend instead.
I went to Bath and Body Works today. I normally love that place, but I so rarely go in because of the staff- very pushy. Today was no exception. Not only was I approached three times (in the span of 5 minutes) but the woman at the register pushed three separate things on me as I attempted to check out. I know, it's a great place, and I know you worked there Hermione(and have other issues, especially with yours), but at least at mine it's SO not worth going because of the people there. Maybe I should write a letter to the company... :-)
Anyhoo, big problems in my department as of late. Two of our faculty members in my area of study (one who could have been on my committee) just up and quit this week. They're going to PA (they're married). So things are in upheval (sp?). We lost 2 other HCI profs this last year... which leaves us with, um, 2, maybe 3. And my professor who has been here only 3 yaers is now the senior member of the area. AH!!! We're supposed to have a VERY strong HCI program... thanks to profs we don't have any more... so now we're at a standstill. I'm a little worried.
THE DEVILS WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SOOOO excited! My little Devils *shnuggles* will be playing the Ducks (my new favorite team) for the Stanley Cup!!! Sooo happy! Was a great game tonight, but I love the Devils to death (Patrick, Stevens, Marty, Gomez, Lang) so it's going to be a hard time rooting/watching. Like when the Devils played the Avs- I love both those teams (well, the Devils a bit more). But it's really hard to pick between these two. The Ducks have one of my favorite ex-Capitals players on the team and one of my fave ex-Devils players. So it'll be a fun series at any rate. Happy happy!
