I will preface this question by saying that I REALLY want to buy Star Trek: the next generation on DVD. It's somewhere from $200-$300. And I'm trying to cut back on fannish purchases this year (with the exception of Infinitus).
But the new Complete Farscape Series is on sale on Amazon for $64. I've had the worst time trying to work my way through the series. The DVDs are always "long wait" or "very long wait" on Blockbuster online (except for season 2 which they didn't have AT ALL and I had to borrow from a very sweet friend here!) and they have the older versions only and limited amounts of discs. I'm only up through season 2, I believe. It'll take more than 3 months to get through the rest of the series so technically for $64 it would be worth it. But is it something I'll want to own and re-watch? I don't know! I like it, based on the first few seasons, but I'm not in love the way I was with Firefly or Torchwood or anything of that sort. But what if I DO fall in love deeply and kick myself for not buying it when it was cheap and FINALLY available again? But $64 is a lot to me (a third of what the Star Trek set I want so much more costs) Ugh! I cannot decide!
Help?
