I hate waiting

Is it bad that the only major thing stopping me from buying a Legolas plushie is that there isn't a Gimli plushie to keep him company? (Anyone feel crafty enough to make me one? hint hint!)

Also, Xanthe has a new NCIS fic coming out any second now. I have never anticipated a fic before (maybe a new chapter of a good WIP, but never anticipated a fanfic before ever reading it). I'd read all Xanthe's long fics and I'm desperate for more. And this one looks amazing. It uses the concept of deamons from the His Dark Materials series in the NCIS 'verse. Plus, when I mentioned how much I loved h/c, Xanthe promised more than enough of it--and that there's as much with Gibbs as with Tony. Oh, my lovely whumped boys! *wants fic NOW!*



On a completely unrelated note, my foot is slightly better after me being a clutz and stepping down off a curb wrong on Saturday (and then having to stand up for 2 hours on the METRO and then walking 3 dogs one at a time many times over the weekend). But there's a bump on the back of my head that, I'm told, looks like a bug bite. Except that it's the size of a ping-pong ball and the whole area hurts to touch it (as I discovered when I leaned back and my head rested against the back of my chair and I yelped in pain). So... I'm told it looks like a bug bite. I suspect it's really a tumor and I'm dying and no one wants to tell me. And because it's under my hair, there's nothing I can really put on it.



Also, I'm getting excited about doing NaNoRebel this year. I've got so many stories I want to work on. And I hope that y'all will give me ideas as well (I'll be able to get a head start on your holiday gifts, in theory).

I saw that Legolas plushie too! Soo cute! Wish there was a Gimli one also, but I need the chibi plush elf. Took a lot of willpower not to buy it instantly...though I then proceeded to buy a Chococat at Build-a-Bear workshop today. For now I just bought a Colts cheerleader outfit for it, but they have SW stuff, so hopefully I can get back there after I've gotten paid again, to buy a Jedi outfit. I plan to get a Ianto bear still eventually too. There are a couple outfits there with waistcoats and ties calling to me for that purpose. And goodness only knows what I'll come back from the Harry Potter World with in a couple weeks-I'm betting a stuffed Hedwig at least...

Hypothetically... if I were to buy you one for Christmas... would that be a bad move? Is that too long for you to wait? Would it be something you're liable to get from someone else? Or is a good excuse for you to not have to buy one on your own? I'm just saying. You know. Hypothetically...


There is no stuffed Hedwig at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, FYI. At least, they didn't have one when I was there. They had 4 different owls, but none were snowy white owls :-( I bought a Fluffy plushy there (when you squeeze him, he snores and makes other sleepy sounds, heehee) They also have Crookshanks and Fawkes and Scabbers (if memory serves) and dragons galore, but no Hedwig. Which is sad, because my friend asked me for one especially.

I REALLY wanted a pygmy puff, too, but they were out of them when I was there! I was told they were off breeding and when they returned they would do so in new, exciting colors (check Zonkos to see if they're back in stock when you go... hint hint... though I haven't heard about their return yet)

I soooooooooooooooo desperately want an Obibear from the Build-a-Bear workshop... but that would require me to get up the courage to go in there and make one :-) I totally want the experience of building one... I just don't want to do it alone, given that I'm 20-something years older than I should be in there. I hadn't looked into some of the other options for bears (though I know there's a hockey bear). I hope you post photos of your Iantobear if you buy such an outfit!

It's sooo much better than the black pinstripe vest/black tie combo and plain black pants at the store.

I want to get one beige curly haired bear, to do double duty as Ianto and Jedi. I'm going to keep my eye out for a braid of fake hair I can clip on for a Padawan braid too. I will always prefer Padawan Obi best. *G* I'm also on the lookout for a toy stopwatch for Ianto.

Speaking theoretically, it's totally a good idea to consider the Legolas plushie. I'll keep an eye out for a pygmy puff too. Theoretically, of course. ;-)
