In trouble

I'm REALLY in trouble regarding giftfics, guys. I'm SO sorry. I've got... 5 finished and 1 other started. Some of them I'm a bit stuck on and others I am VERY stuck on. Nothing's coming to me.

Well, that's not entirely true. I came up with this interesting new YA novel idea that has been filling my every waking hour with interestingness. I can't get away from it. It demands to be written. I'm actually really, really loving it. It's set in the future in a dystopia where they prize the arts over technology (so computer scientists have to call themselves tech artists, lol) and the main character is a seer and she gets rescued from slave traders by rebels, who she hates because the rebels killed her parents, though she swiftly develops crushes on two of the rebels (because love triangles are all the rage). I think I'm doing too much with it because there are demons in there too. And a government which hates technology so they have to use magics to compensate. Yeah. There are faeries and references to old Welsh stories and the whole story with the rebels came into being just so I could have an excuse to write "Shit, Kit!" which makes me giggle every time, even though I haven't gotten to writing that scene yet. heehee Yeah. Um. Totally blame my muses. They KNOW I have many stories to write. They're not making this easy for me :-(

But I'll keep plugging away and I hope to come up with something for everyone, even if it's not up to my usual standards.

Giftfics, by nature, I think are had on the muses. Something about the pressure to get them done.

Aw, thanks! I'll do my best. But, man, my muses are annoying lately.

Also, I'm not sure I replied to your question about hypothetical extra ficcage... whatever you want to give me is great--extra stuff is MORE than appreciated. But if you don't have time to make it happen, that's fine too.

Please, please don't stress yourself out over giftfics! It's totally the thought that counts. *hugs*

Also, I totally understand having something you can't stop occupying yourself, no matter how you try. My life is currently being eaten by 'Supernatural.' I've mainlined the entire 5 and a half seasons in about a month, and am really, really wishing I'd gotten into this series years ago. Even though the fandom is kinda crazy and I'm sticking mostly to gen fic reading. :)

Btw, got your package! They're still under my little mini-tree waiting, so I have something to unwrap on Christmas Day, seeing as I won't get to see my family and have my main X-mas until some time around New Years. Your package will probably go out next Monday or Tuesday...late as usual. Sorry, typical me.

I'll try not to stress. I just don't want to let anyone down. I haven't started your yet, but I've got the beginning in my head, so it should go all right once I sit down to write it. Let's hope, at least!

Like I said before: enjoy the runaway plot bunny while it lasts. I've found too many times that putting off something I'm excited about means I'll never get to it later, or at least not with the same level of excitement. Have fun! :)
