Torchwood Squee! and random life stuff
Dec. 29th, 2010 01:02 amGot my copy of Torchwood: The Undertaker's Gift in the mail today from Borders. I bought it online (free shipping because I'm a snazzy paying member now). And I had $15 in Borders bucks to spend so I bought myself a John William Waterhouse 2011 calendar and this book and paid a total of $2.19. Yeah. Happy-making.
ANYWAY, I haven't read it yet but I had to jump ahead because, well, ill Ianto? *wants*
SPOILER PASSAGE!
Ianto rested his head against the steel door and closed his eyes.
'Hey,' said Jack. 'You OK?'
'I don't feel too good, actually.'
'You don't look it.'
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Actually, I just skimmed through and read most of the ill!Ianto bits. Kind of spoiled myself but I tired not to read *all* of them, so there's still something to enjoy when I read the book. Just enough to give me inspiration to write Lady K's holiday giftfic. Speaking of which... it's past midnight my time and I should really post Day 5's fic. I've spent the last 3 hours cleaning one corner of my room and it's... well, looking good now! I just have way too much stuff. And I need my own house with a room just for books :-)
I'll be away for the next 3 days dog-sitting. I'll stop in for a little while during the day, probably, and post giftfics then, instead of at night. And Maxwell has his annual vet visit tomorrow (and Rabies shot--shhh! Don't tell him!). I bought some long underwear (am I getting old and frumpy or what?) so that walking the three dogs (who each have to be walked separately, not three at once, and there's no yard to let them out into) shouldn't be so painfully cold. Man, I love Harry Potter people, though. Seriously "Keep Lupin's bowl full" is the BEST instruction I've ever been given for a house or dog-sitting gig :-)
I don't have any plans for New Year's. Friends talked about getting together but I don't think it's going to happen. It's just as well. I'll probably be tired after dog-sitting and I want to clean more. It'll be nice to start the new year with a relatively clean everything around me. And you know what else will happen in the new year. The Winter Classic will be on Saturday!!!! And then on Sunday I'll head over to the LEGO store and buy the new Diagon Alley set. Exciting!
