Checking in
Sep. 22nd, 2011 11:42 pmI didn't post yesterday, I just realized. It's probably because I was ill and not in the mood to do anything by the time I got home. Yesterday involved some really awful moments, and me not getting to see Conor Grennan speak at Fall for the Book. But I did get to hear my boss give a reading (scheduled at the same time), so that was great.
And I got my first package in the mail yesterday thanks to swap-bot. Oh man. People weren't lying when they told me that site was fun and addictive! I sent my first postcard and my first package out today. I went way way way overboard on the package (oops) but it's to the person organizing the swap and it was my first swap. So if there was ever a time to go overboard, I guess this was it. I hope she likes what I sent when she gets it. I even stuck some cat stickers on the box itself. And I dug out some cat stationery from elementary school (I had just a few sheets left; just justifying my pack-rat nature of never throwing anything away in case it becomes useful later). The package I got was of toys and treats for Maxwell, which he loved (once I broke open the treats and covered one of the toys in catnip, LOL).
I went to a DADA meetup on the Hogwarts founders tonight. It was lots of fun. Scheduled at the exact same time was a dinner to celebrate the Bagginses birthdays over at Bilbo Baggins, a restaurant I only learned existed earlier this year.

I know I SHOULD spend the rest of tonight registering books to release at the National Book Festival on Saturday... but I'm probably not going to. Because I don't feel like it. Meh. Tomorrow
melydia and I will be seeing Stephen King speak at Fall for the Book. That should be interesting and entertaining!
