Goodbye, Stargate Atlantis
Sep. 28th, 2011 11:21 pmAm having a good day!
I got a catch from the National Book Festival: http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/10172243
I wrote chapter 4 (of, I think, 5) in an NCIS h/c fanfic.
I watched the final Stargate Atlantis episode tonight. Um, and then I went back and watched the beginning of The Shrine another 2 times. Man, I'm pathetic. Pathetic and happy! Mmmm Rodney. The show is very happy-making. I know I get on Dean Koontz' case because he doesn't really kill off main characters in his books. But I get so mad at shows that end like... well, like Farscape did. So the ending of Atlantis was SO incredibly satisfying to me without breaking my heart a dozen times over. My friend, M, told me it's, like, the one show that doesn't kill everyone off, and she was right! Also, even when someone gets killed off, they show up again later. Which is extremely nice when it's a good guy and really annoying when it comes to the bad guys :-) In all, not as good as SG-1, but it's different and has a loveable charm all its own. I'll probably be buying it soon... if only to be able to, you know, rewatch certain episodes without worrying about buffering and all that. Mmm. Okay, maybe just one more watching of The Shrine wouldn't hurt...
Also, I got caught up on book reviews tonight (unless I'm forgetting something I finished, but I think I'm caught up for now at least; I'm close to being done with 2 other books).
Oh! Also, if you haven't yet seen http://vaultshow.com you really should. It's excellent. Can't wait for the next episode!
