Yup, that's it. Just finished S7x15. Caught up on Supernatural. 6.5 years in less than 2 months. And now I have to play the waiting game each week like the rest of you. I don't like that. More? Can I get more? Like, before Friday? Please? PLEASE! #thisshowismoreaddictivethandemonblood

I know, I know. I have Sherlock, Merlin, "Torchwood", and Doctor Who to catch up on now. And people keep telling me I need to start Game of Thrones and Battlestar Galactica (frick, just typing that makes me think of Jefferson Starships. DAMNIT!). But they're just not the same. They're not. At least, not until I start watching one, and then I'll get caught up and properly distracted, but right this second... I just want more SPN.

ARGH this is so hard! Why did I watch them so fast? What was I thinking? It started out just an episode or two a day after work, and then became a disc and a half every night. And yesterday I watched something like 13 or 14 straight. Gah! I should have savored them, made them last at least until Thursday. Now I'm going to be going through withdrawal. I mean, yeah, there's fanfic and fanart and some time in the mail this week I'm expecting to get some sort of handmade Supernatural craft item in the mail. But... it's not the same. This is hard. Can't someone, you know, slip me an advance copy of Friday's episode? I'll be good, I promise. Just this once. Please?

This is also why I should never start smoking. Or drinking. Oh God, now that just reminds me of Dean. *headdesk*

The worst part is that I would totally go grab that Season 1 DVD set and start over again, if I thought I could do the 6.5 years again before Friday. But I don't want to be stuck in the middle of some season and then watch a new episode. That might make my head explode (like when I was in the middle of re-reading Harry Potter 4 and then went to see Deathly Hallows Part 1, or something like that).

Why is Torchwood the only one in quotes? (Don't worry about spoiling me - I finished S2 last night.)

It's in quotes because I don't consider Series 4 of Torchwood to actually be proper Torchwood. I'll watch it for canon sake, but it's not real to me. Set in America, set after that monstrosity that was Children of Earth, bringing in new characters... okay, I shouldn't judge before I watch it, I know. But it just doesn't feel like Torchwood to me, so I've been putting off watching it and I'm going to refer to it with quotations until it proves to me that it's worthy of the first two seasons.

I noticed the quotes too, and love you for it!

It felt so little like the Torchwood I know and love, and was so detached from any universe and any Earth that the Doctor could possibly have any stake in, that I was actually glad that the characters that weren't around didn't have to be part of it. There is absolutely no reconciling it with a world that could possibly have the Doctor in it at all now, much less any of his companions still living here.

I'm going with "a parallel version of Torchwood was created when the Hub blew up, or maybe even when Jack's stupid little brother Grey the bad actor messed with bombs and time travel".

So...is there a Torchwood Series 3? And does it involve Martha and Mickey, as implied at the end of Doctor Who S4? Convenient that they just happen to be a doctor and a computer tech...

Torchwood 3 is the same as Torchwood: Children of Earth. It's the DVD set I gave you last Friday and told you not to look at the cover until after you watched TW2 (spoilers, sweetie). No, it doesn't involve Martha & Mickey, though I would fully support a spin-off with them or them joining TW. That doesn't happen in TW3, however. Just a big pile of crap I hate happens. Rhys is awesome in it, though. You'll like that :-)

Oh wow. Yeah you smoked through those seasons! I have been really good with Supernatural compared to my other shows and am only 2 or 3 episodes behind. I think the only shows I blew through as fast to catch up were the first couple seasons of Dexter and 24 but that was quite a while ago.

And you answered a question I was going to ask you in this post which was if you had gotten to the Castiel episodes yet...Yup.
