tarotgalIt's 1am and I just got home from work. I managed to sort through and upload about 600 users tonight. YAY! Just 23,672 to go. And two days to do it in. Oh Gods, I am screwed.
And exhausted. And in pain.
But I picked up a CD from the library today that has Billy Collins reading his poetry to a live audience with Bill Murray doing the intro. I was laughing so hard I had to pull over at a supermarket on my way home because I couldn't see I was crying from laughing so hard. I should have anticipated it, but I've heard him read his Lanyard poem in person (nearly wet myself, not gonna lie) and I've read it a dozen times since and listened to it on NPR's recording. I thought I could handle it. I cannot! It still cracks me up.
I really want to work on my R ABC fic... which is actually coming along GREAT except it's not exactly what was requested. I would feel guilty about it if I weren't loving the fic so much. But, of course, words no come out right way right now.
So I will go to sleep instead. And get ready for a long day at work. I'm planning on working from about 10am until maybe midnight or 1am again. I'm gonna die. Already I'm having trouble focusing on the databases and spreadsheets. I need new eyes.

Date: 2012-08-19 01:51 pm (UTC)We were 113 pages of orders and 2 hours behind when I got in last night. Then all the evening shift workers went home and left us couple poor night crew to dig out at a time of night when we usually get another load of new admissions dumped on us. Did they stay over to help? Of course not.
We spent the whole night between 3 and 5 hours behind on orders, and at one point hit about 210 pages of orders in the queue. Some of these pages have dozens of home meds or pharmacy-to-dose and can take 20 minutes or more per PAGE!
I stayed over hours this morning to try and catch up, and have to be back at work in about 10 hrs. Ugh.
