tarotgalWatched Gotham... liked it. Started watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on DVD... loving it. Started watching Under the Dome... not bad, but don't know where this is going.
Work... officially, I am over it. I no longer like my job. I dislike my boss. But after 2 weeks of trying to fight him in order to stand up for my website users, I no longer have the energy and had to give in. I feel terrible about it, but I had to. I hope it doesn't cost us as much as it might.
Kitty... my family's cat, Sugar, is not doing well. I stopped by my parents' house on the way home from the library to say goodbye to her (not that she could hear; she's deaf) just in case her heart gives out or we have to put her to sleep tomorrow. My mother is distraught. I'm crying but holding out hope that she'll bounce back again.
Hip... is doing all right. I am feeling well, but it still hurts sometimes and gets tired. Luckily, my volunteer coordinators at my libraries have been finding me things to do while sitting down. I really, really needed the solace of the library tonight to zen out and escape for a little while. I pushed myself a little harder than I probably should have, but I needed to learn my limits and I'm fine now. So no harm done.
I've got another 140-something pages to read in The Silkworm before the book discussion meetup on Friday.

And if you have room in your TV watching schedule for one more show...May I suggest ABC's "Forever?" It starts a certain Welsh actor we know and love, and, well...it's Fetish Fuel. Seriously. They wrote in a plot device that will have any seasoned fetishist rubbing their hands in glee. I wrote a musing on the subject at my journal before it even aired, that's how strong the fetish vibes are. Besides which, it's shaping up to be a decent show, so it's worth watching for more than just that.
Sorry, I'm just...really invested in trying to get more people to watch this show. I think it shows.

Date: 2014-09-24 12:11 pm (UTC)I've got the first two episodes of Forever on my DVR, as well as NCIS New Orleans, just haven't watched yet. It's Ioan and immortality--how could I NOT watch that show? Awesome to hear there's a fetish component as well! Squee!

Date: 2014-09-24 07:05 pm (UTC)I should warn you that there is no actual sneezing in Forever as of yet, but certain things they wrote in are pretty much a giant neon sign to fetishists saying "WRITE FIC GETTING THIS CHARACTER SICK."
