12 Days of Ficlets/Fics Requests

It's that time of year again! Want a fic? I can't promise brilliance, but I'll do my best for you.

So what do you need to do?

Limitations:
It's got to be original character fic or a fandom I'm really familiar with. I can't do really obscure things that require research & extensive source material reviewing because I won't have time for that. I can't do elaborate situations either if I'm writing one for every day. So keep your requests short and sweet (but as specific as you want within that scope). Again, please don't expect brilliance from me :-) I definitely don't have the energy to write anything long after this NaNo project! If I reply and say I just can't write what you want and I need you to pick something else, you won't lose your "spot". But you should suggest something else within a reasonable period of time.

Fandoms I'll Write:
Any fandom I've written for before is technically fair game, but I can tell you right now I'm going to struggle to write another fic in a couple of those fandoms. And I can assure you that if you request something slashy in one of my major fandoms (or Strokes) I will LOVE you for making it easy on me. Feel free to ask if I know a particular fandom.

Other Notes:
Because I've been asked this before, I'll answer it here before someone asks again: yes, lurkers are more than welcome to request (you can post with your name or anonymously; I don't mind, that's why I allow anon posting on my LJ).

I'm thinking Sherlock sick Sherlock or Lestrade(your sick Lestrade was lovely). Maybe on a case together out or away somewhere one having to look at the other. John can come along and play doctor but I'd love to see the dynamics between the other too.
Or if that doesn't strike you my usual would be fine ;)

I know you mentioned you had started watching Scorpion too, I would also not be opposed to a sick Walter.

As for something for me (which you totally don't have to do, but if the mood strikes you...) I would love Sherlockfic, if you can get back into writing it. I love Johnlock or gen with any of the guys you mention sick. I love the idea of one of them sick while at a crime scene. Maybe John's or Greg's (or both!) sneezes annoy Sherlock when he's trying to concentrate?

Actually, I just thought of one.

So it's Sam and Dean's first Christmas after settling down. And they both kind of want to do it right, having had very few Christmases for the past several years, except for that one before Dean died.

So they go all out, getting the decorations, and the lights on the house, and going out to the tree farm to cut down their very own Christmas tree. They bring it home and decorate it, and it's all very Christmas-y.

Only Sam wakes up the next morning and all of a sudden he's having mysterious allergy attacks, when he's never had a problem in the house before. Turns out that it is possible to be allergic to pine tree pollen...

Characters and/or Pairings: Horatio. This one's a solo character prompt.

Sneezing specifications (which character/characters you want sneezing, illness/allergies, etc.): Horatio sneezing, Allergy or accidental inducing (see below).

Rating/Range of Ratings: G-PG.

What DO you want to see (be as brief or detailed as you like): Observe this passage from "Hornblower and the Hotspur":

“He reached for pen and paper, returning to the commonplace world with his routine annoyance at having a left-wing pen. Pens from the left wing of the goose were cheaper than right-wing ones, because when held in position for writing they pointed towards the writer’s eye and not conveniently out over his elbow as right-wing ones did.”

Based on that, it stands to reason that a left-wing quill also points towards one's nose, and if you're not careful...

Short version: Captain Hornblower is writing a report of some sort to the Admiralty, but the quill keeps getting in the way. I'd love to see descriptions of the feather brushing against his nose, and the slow build of the sneeze/sneezes and Horatio's increasingly desperate attempts to ward it off.

What do you NOT want to see (squicks, pairings, etc.): I'd like this to be a fairly humorous story, so I'd rather that the angst be kept to a minimum.

First, I know you just got done spending all of November writing about my (our) boys so if you are tired of writing about Clint and Coulson pleas let me know and I can come up with something else.

Second, my request is just to have my prompt from your comment meme filled:

Coulson is always very polite when he's sick or when he's around someone else that's sick. He blesses people when they sneeze and offers them his handkerchief or a tissue. He excuses himself when he sneezes and is always prepared with a handkerchief in his pocket.

It drives Clint crazy how polite and prepared Coulson seems to be. Clint just wants to get Coulson into a situation where he isn't or can't be so polite and prepared and...(fill in the blank).

Bonus if you could throw in some of my other favorite things in there as well like suit porn, cuddling, and/or sexytimes or what not (I think you know by now what I like and how easy I am when it comes to fills and requests). Since I don't know anything about the novel you wrote this all might be taken care of that so let me know if this is a repeat as well.

Oh, I am thrilled to write more Clint & Coulson in December! :-)

Neatfreak!Phil is a part of my NaNoNovel, and most of the time in the novel he is struggling (and failing) to get control of a situation. But it's closer to the prompt I wrote for the meme, with Clint coming over and making a mess of his apartment. So this would be some different dynamics to play with. I'm not sure how to write this yet, but I'm sure I can come up with something you'll like! :-)

:characters: Jack/ ianto
Ianto/ illness
Ratings: it's Torchwood. As innocent or kinky as you like. It's all good.
Prompt: all Ianto needs is a cup of tea. And a good night's sleep. He would be fine if the Rift, the weather, the weevils and Jack would give him one night off. But that is not how Torchwood rolls. Ianto has far too much to do to take some down time. It takes Jack to compel him to slow down and take care of himself. ( total bonus points if Jack is lying when he says 21st century germs don't have a chance with his 51st century immune system).

I haven't written GG before, but I think it would be a lot of fun to do, and I'm up for that challenge! Especially Jess... he would be fun to torture with sneezes, ah, I mean write about...

No, no....you meant torture. And you're right. I've dabbled in GG very lightly before, and it's fun to mess with him.

A couple ideas if you're stuck: Possibly he comes back to visit after he gets kicked out of Stars Hollow for Luke's birthday or because Liz makes him or anything, and he's completely worse for wear. Or he gets sick for the first time with Luke, or has an allergy and is embarrassed for anyone to find out

What do you want to see: Ok, so... A little while back you wrote an awesome, AWESOME little fic called Dean Hearding. Which I absolutely loved to no end. Sooo, what I'd really love to see is a continuation of that scenario, perhaps with Sam and Dean settling in for the night in the basement with all the other guests (and the cats!), and poor Dean continuing his allergy attack. Maybe with some of the other guests expressing their concern, the B&B owner trying to help, Dean keeping everyone awake with his sneezing...Something along those lines.

(On a totally unrelated note, upon looking back, I realize I never left you a comment for this fic! Shame on me. I will remedy that soon.)

Or if this doesn't work for you, pretty much anything involving Allergic Dean would make me very happy :) gen, slash, whatever.

Something Quiddtich based is always good :) Maybe Flint was traded/acquired by Oliver's team so Flint is pushing himself super hard to prove he is worth all the hype that comes with him (big name player, high scorer, going to help them win the cup this year) because for all of Flint's smacktalk he really isn't that secure of a guy (hides behind the asshole persona). A guy can only push himself so hard, right? Eventually something has to give.

Just a thought. Feel free to write whatever strikes you!

As fitting as a Legolas prompt would be right now, I'm craving sick Sammy a ton at the moment.

Maybe something where his self-worth is at a low moment, feeling miserable and trying to help with a hunt (and deal with his cold sneezes, and I'm not thinking of that other fic at all there, nope!). Feel free to gloss over hunt details, I mostly want an excuse for fluffy schmoop where he is finally convinced to rest, and is taken care of so well by Dean and any other friends/family you choose to include, Sam is left feeling valuable and loved.
Gen preferred, but if your muses take it elsewhere, I won't protest. :)

Getting in under the wire up in here...
I love me some Strokes, any pairing, but most especially Ducky/Sin, Sweetie/Jamie or Marty/Coyote. (I am a new DC resident and I just remembered they live in this area too :P so maybe some kind of Christmas in DMV type deal?) If you're not in the mood for original characters I also love your Harry Potter stuff (any canon pairing or Sirius/Remus, any of the Quidditch boy parings you write for, Neville/Charlie... I'd love anything you feel like writing :))

Hi! not sure if its too late to request one of your amazing fics but i'll give it a shot!

merlin: merlin and arthur (preferably merthur but your call) - arthur makes merlin do something outside when its rainy and sad and gross (muck the stables, clean up after training while its raining, etc) and because of this, merlin comes down with a cold - he comes back into arhur's chambers shivering and sneezing. arthur feels guilty and helps warm him up and make him feel better.

How bout: Jack Harkness has a sign on the wall in his office. "Coughs and sneezes spread diseases". It's there for a reason. Wide open, anything, any pairing, gen or kinky. That sign comes up in prompts from time to time. Nobody ever does anything with it. Somebody has to. Because, how could you not?

What DO you want to see (be as brief or detailed as you like) : I would be overjoyed with ANYTHING that's allergic Sam, but I especially like embarrassed, allergic Sam, so I was thinking maybe... Allergic Sam doing a presentation at Stanford, perhaps he's allergic to someone else's visual aid or something. But only if that works for you, feel free to sub something else in, or I can suggest something else.
What do you NOT want to see (squicks, pairings, etc.) : I don't like anything too messy. Also, I do like the embarrassment-factor but I'm not all that into stifles. Oooh - but I do like it when people start out trying to stifle and it just makes them sneeze more so they have to give up. So maybe that might work as an alternative?

I can totally do this :-) I'm not as big on allergies, as you know, but this is a fun prompt. I'll see what happens!!

As for something in return, you're under no obligations to write anything, but I'll take just about anything. Maybe Sam & Dean right before Sam heads off and he's trying to work up the courage to tell Dean about college but then he gets sick and Dean's doing such a good job of looking after him and keeping Dad off Sam's back that Sam just doesn't have the heart to say something? Sneezes and angst. Yum.
