More Back to the Future
Jul. 5th, 2003 12:28 amWow... I'm really impressed at the number of famous people in the Back to the Future movies... and Billy Zane looks so YOUNG! (well, not as young as Lij, but that's to be expected) heehee What a cutie *has sudden desire to go re-read Liberty Belle's Titanic Cal sneezefic*
But really, they did an awesome job in casting... and the number of people from their crew who make appearances is fantastic! :-) And less expensive, I suppose! But especially all the actors they got from the old westerns to actually be in the 3rd movie- it's incredible.
And call me old fashioned, but I'd take the old versions of the narnia movies and movies like Back to the Future over these high-cost special effect masterpieces anyday. At least with things here you KNOW they're real! There are no fake skies digitally stuck in there, there are no animations that correct mistakes, there are no entire sets that are digitally created- everything that's shown is real- maybe split-screened but almost all special effects are mechanical or done so many different ways- it's really incredible what you can do without all that fake stuff they use nowadays. Of course the fake stuff is nice... but there's a certain beauty to the first star wars movies, for example, because you know it's all real... you can reach out and touch it :-) I really like movies like that.
