Dinner & a TV Show
Jul. 6th, 2003 08:01 pmWow... veggie meatloaf exceeded my expectations! Mashed potatoes were incredible for a tv dinner, there was just enough sauce, and the peas and corn were my favorite part. Tasted fantastic- of course, I've never eaten real meatloaf so I can't compare, but what I just ate was yummy and that's all that matters to me! And the whole thing done with no meat, fish, poultry, eggs, dairy, GMOs or bioengineered ingredients. I'm very impressed.
And I just watched Trading Spaces: family! (on every Sunday at 7pm and 11pm). It was fantastic! Yay! I am SO addicted to that show! I watch it nearly every day, and sometimes 4 times on Saturdays. The designers were adorable with the little kids and everybody worked hard- I think it was nice to see the team dynamic and the parents seemed to have fun with their kids while still getting a break from them at times. And both families loved their rooms- which makes for a good first episode. Not to mention that the new host, Joe, is a cutie! Good job, TLC!
And I watched episode 10 of Weiss Kreuz Gluhen this afternoon- cried when the Velvet Underworld song started... then had to watch the sequence over again a half dozen times before I caught all of it. *sniffles* Just like the old days *snuggles Omi* Yeah. Um. Still worried about Youji, though. And GEEZ! Just when I was starting to get used to a lack of Schwartz! LOL I really, really liked the episode, though I am worried about Aya and Youji. And that nice Ken and Omi interplay was adorable! 'Hey Persia? How's it going? Descending from up above to boss us around in person, huh? Let me give you an affectionate punch for that' lol
Looking forward to watching the all new Dead Zone tonight! (I'm nearly going through Anthony Michael Hall withdrawl!) And hopefully I can finish up 'Giving' and get it posted. I got it back when I woke up this morning, all nice and beta-ed :-) YAY! :-)

Date: 2003-07-06 05:26 pm (UTC)The normal show is just 2 people vs 2 people(usually couples, but sometimes it's friends or roommates). The one tonight was the first time they've ever had whole families (in this case, 4 people per family) trade rooms. Before this, they've always had an age limit of 16 or 17 and above. Today they had, like, 10 year olds trying to paint the ceiling-twas very funny!
I'm very addicted to the show- wish I had ANY skills so I could go on it *G* They always do such creative things... I'm always very impressed at some of the design ideas and art projects :-) ANd yeah, the reactions are always fun to watch... though some people are so picky- I dunno why they even bother to go on the show if they just wanted their room a certain way anyway *shrug*

Date: 2003-07-08 05:54 am (UTC)It's so much fun to find someone to get fangirly with... Most of my current crowd isn't into Weiss, and those that are have only seen the first two arcs. Yay!

Date: 2003-07-08 08:48 am (UTC)Awww... but I am looking forward to the eps (er, once they download- it's going slowly- I don't have 13 yet and I know once I start 11 I'm going to want to watch the rest all in one shot)
Had an idea for a fic and I started a little bit ago... just a few pages... something short and light... I don't really know if it will go anywhere, but at least my brain is working on the possibility *G*

Date: 2003-07-08 02:17 pm (UTC)As always, keep writing! Even if it isn't Weiss... I have read your other stuff, but I haven't had time to go through and review extensively (Hell, I'm still figuring out how to post here without leaving 'footprints' on my friend's computer -- I can erase Netscape history to view my friends list, but it crashes when I try to post via LJ). Very sweet, though! I particularly liked the post-OotP fic you wrote

Date: 2003-07-08 02:27 pm (UTC)Re the stories- Thanks- and no worries, I know some of the stuff I've posted lately is long. Glad you liked the post-OotP story... it spilled out so quickly that I still don't really know how to feel about it. But I felt I needed to play with Harry a little... and Ron's just too cute to resist. And there were big debates about, er, that character who dies possibly pulling a "Gandalf" so that's where the idea came from. Not that I think that HP character will come back in real form... but I think in some way we'll see him/her again.
My mission for the day is to pick up a number of my unfinished things and try to have SOMETHING finished by the end of the day. We shall see. I've got a number of original works I've been meaning to finish as well. But the Weiss story is sitting open on my task bar, so that's a good sign.
As for footprints- I MORE than understand. I get pretty paranoid when it comes to these things.
