Went to see Jurassic World. It was good, though I really didn't care for the main female lead. The rest of it was great. I definitely hope there is a sequel.
Gave my daddy his father's day presents on Saturday after the movie. He liked what I'd picked out but was definitely surprised by his last present, the bowl we'd been admiring together at Glen Echo park a few weekends ago. It's about a 40 minute drive from my place. I'd picked him up and we'd spent the morning exploring it together. Then I dropped him off at home where he remarked he'd wished he'd bought that bowl we'd been looking at. So I ended up driving right back to the park again and buying it for him. What I didn't know was that last weekend he'd tried to go there on his own to buy it but his GPS stopped working and he hadn't made it to Maryland before turning back and giving up. How terrible it would have been if he'd made it there only to find the bowl was gone! So I'm glad I got him something that was special to us and that he apparently really wanted!
Saturday night, I found that my ROOF IS LEAKING AGAIN. GAH! This makes the third time. All in different places. GAH. And my roofer has suffered a death in the family and isn't taking new jobs right now. So... fantastico. I've got a bucket right now. Luckily, the leak is in the bathroom, so not too much can get damaged, as long as it avoids the light fixture and medicine cabinet.
My hip started hurting again yesterday, out of the blue. Today it's been just as bad. I'm freaking out a little. Grrr.
My internet, phone, and cable are back!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! So much email to catch up on! Oh, Wikipedia, how I missed you! My voice mailbox for phone should have been set up today as well, but as of an hour ago, it's still not working yet. So we'll see. It's been 4 years; I'm kind of not holding out any hope on this one.
The grocery store near my house seems to have stopped selling the soy mac & cheese I like. ARGH! I'm so frustrated. I really wanted to eat that tonight. Damn it.
I finished Spander fic. Finally. Will post tonight, if all goes well.
