Last week I posted part 1 of fandom-related things at at my local LEGO convention, Brickfair VA. Click on the photos for larger versions.
Top Ten Ten Fandom Creations at Brickfair (part 2)
- Phantom of the Opera
Gorgeous and full of detail, right down to the mirror frame, the Egyptian headdress, the leaning pipe organ, and the monkey playing the cymbals on the music box.
- Bazinga!
Sheldon and Leonard in the ball pit! This habitat was a crowd favorite (and also a favorite of mine)

- Frozen Castle
Elsa’s castle from Frozen, built out beautifully. I will never get tired of these trees.
- Peter Pan
Inspired by NBC’s Peter Pan Live, but also by the book and other films. I love how so many parts of the story are represented here. It’s so easy to dive right into Neverland.

- Hyrule
This Hyrule is absolutely magnificent. Not only is it a fantastic castle, but there are even some identifiable characters in the courtyard.
- The Sandman
There were some amazing fandomy mosaics this year, but this one was so cool that Neil Gaiman retweeted a picture of it. So it makes the list *G*
- We’re Off to See the Wizard
I love the use of the bright green for the Emerald City but also the Chima lion and, look, even a Winkie! But my favorite is the flying monkey with fairy wings!
- 221B Baker Street
What a clever way of depicting the home of my favorite consulting detective! I love the wallpaper and Johns laptop as well as Sherlock and John, of course.
- Marvel MOCs
Lots of beautiful MOCs depicting scenes from the Marvel movies. Everything from Loki to Black Widow fetching Cap’s shield for him.
- Is This a Kissing Book?
I’m so in love with Ben’s Princess Bride MOC (like an embarrassingly large amount of money donated to a great charity in love). The attention to detail is absolutely brilliant, everything from the closet doors to the sock under the bed to the baseball cap to the jersey to the joystick controller.
