My Life This Week

Things happening in my life right now:
1. Work continues to suck. It's slightly better... but the problems aren't going to go away overnight.
2. I've got two donation fics yet to write (one isn't started yet, apart from in my head, and the other is on its 6th and final chapter... only 2,000 words over the goal so far. LOL). A few other people have expressed interest in donating to the project. I passed my halfway goal, so things are looking good. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this great cause so far!
3. My little sister is getting married tomorrow. I just spent an hour crying over the note I wrote in the card. It doesn't feel real to me yet. My baby sister... MARRIED?! Some of us (sister, me, mom, new sister-in-law) got henna done for the occassion on Sunday. Mine turned out beautifully. And I just finished wrapping the gifts I'm bringing. I feel like it's not enough. I feel like I want to give them the entire world.
4. I had a follow-up appointment at the doctor's on Thursday. The good news: I don't have mono. The bad news: I'm really anemic. Which would probably explain why I've been so damn tired and kind of dizzy lately. They're going to do a bunch of tests to make sure it's not being caused by something serious (i.e. not some of the things that run in my family that cause anemea). I'm hoping that in a couple months of taking pills I'll start feeling better/less tired. Gods, that would be amazing. I've forgotten what it's like to not be tired.
5. I just bought myself two display boxes for my signed LEGO MOCs. I pick them up from the store on Wednesday. I'm really excited about that. I mean, if I'm going to spend $50 getting one signed and $2,000 winning-not-winning the other in an auction, I'd better put them in nice display boxes, right?
6. I'm taking a break from fangirl blog posts for a little while, until I can catch up on the rest of my life and feel less like bursting into tears every time I think about work.
7. Um, Teddy Lupin is a Hufflepuff (just like his Mum). This knowledge makes my life fuller.
8. The Saturday library where I've volunteered for... what 7 years now? 8? Is closing for a few years while they fix it all up. So I'll be doing double shifts over at my other library. So instead of Saturday, I'll be working Sunday now. I'm happy to get to still do bookdrop and picklist, but kind of sad this means I won't be able to come home some Saturdays before noon and then not see the outside world again until Monday morning. I think this will be healthy for me in some ways, though :-) The kind of ways that require putting on pants. LOL
9. I am hungry now. It's past dinner time. I'm gonna go eat. And then write a little. And maybe work on a swap or two. Hey, I just finished earreading Alan Cumming's memoir. If you haven't read it, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! I cried a few times. Also, he reads it, so ACCENT WIN!
10. Seriously, how is my baby sister getting married? She's, like, 2-years-old. Okay, no. I know she's 29 but still. She's my baby sister. MARRIED. I'm going to have a brother-in-law and a whole new family to get to meet tomorrow (including dogs and apparently two adorable nephews).
