UGH! I'm a stupidhead

I've been keeping the catfood in the oven because my girls are smart enough to get into the cupboards. And what do I do? I preheat the oven. TOTALLY forgot it was in there, even though I KNEW it was in there. GAH. So my house started filling up with smoke and the alarms started going off and now I've ruined about $50 of cat food, I think. Maybe I'll call the company and see, but probably it's ruined.
I just placed a $60 order for more, which will last me until January, providing I don't burn my damn house down by then. UGH!!!!!!!!
I'm SO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now the girls and I are in the basement and I've got windows open and fans running upstairs. Both the girls are cuddled up next to me on the Tauntaun, purring. I hope their little kitty lungs are all right. Everything smells like smoke now. GAH So stupid! I'm so stupid!

Date: 2015-12-13 04:58 pm (UTC)We installed some of those magnets on our under-sink cabinets. They don't make it significantly more difficult to open, but enough that the cats can't get in there anymore.
