Having problems uploading wavs/zips to my webpage right now... am getting frustrated. They start out fine, then instead of taking a matter of a few seconds or a minute or two it turns into half an hour per wav. Gah! Maybe they're too big? I dunno... they're really no bigger than others...

*sigh* Ah well. So much for a nice, quick update, right? I'll go back to trying... just felt like complaining :-)

I updated tg's Realm just now... I'm still having probs with the wavs so I'm going to wait until I get that sorted out (there are 38 of them and it takes about 20 minutes each... though the larger ones don't go through at all so I have to do them multiple times)

ANYWAY... it's updated somewhat :-)

Spent a while playing on Googlism tonight. There are some VERY amusing ones for Remus Lupin like "remus lupin is a total drama queen" and "remus lupin is waiting for you out there" (don't I wish!) and Sirius Black "sirius black is _mine_ *maniacal laughter*" or "Obi's "obi-wan kenobi is now open"(mmmm...open... wait, what does that mean?) and "obi-wan kenobi is quite watchable"
Anyway... so I thought I'd share:

10 myths women have about men
By Susan Hayden
[cut a little]
Though a highly subjective survey, here are some of the more interesting truths revealed from the mouths of men:

1. Men are not interested in what women have to say
"Men are interested in what women have to say," countered Chris, 27, "as long as it involves one of the following: Our favorite sport, our favorite activity or your naked body. For example, many men would find it extremely interesting if a woman said, 'A couple of years ago, I got so drunk that I showed up nude to a football game.'"

2. Men want somebody who is just like their mother
"Men do want somebody who will love them like dear old Mom," admits Eric, 42. "But sometimes Mom also annoys us; we don't want you to be like that. So love, nurture and spoil like her — just don't be her."

3. Men only think about sex
"Well, yeah," says Paul, 34. "Thinking about sex takes up a good portion of our brain power, but we don't spend all of our free time pondering when we'll make our next move." Paul also adds, "There are actually plenty of women who are more interested in sex than we are."

4. He's spoiling me, so he must have plenty of money
"No, I don't," assures Brady, 49. "I'm going a little outside my comfort level to woo you, but plan to return gradually to my normal level as you fall, hopefully, madly in love with me."

5. If I sleep with him on the first date, he won't respect me
"Not necessarily," suggests Juan, 21. "My impression of you is based more on how you treat me and how we connect than whether or not we're intimate on the first date."

6. I can change him
"No, you can't," replies Jacques, 30. "Oh, you might get us to behave differently for a while. We might wear some newer shirts or clean up after ourselves for a few weeks, but I'm only doing it because I want to do — at least that is what I'm telling myself."

7. Men are interested in my dating history
"I couldn't care less about your sexual history," says Thomas, 19. "I don't care if you've had one or 20 partners; just don't tell me about any of them."

8. Men don't like women who make the first move.
"Sure we do," returns Romero, 39. "It's less work for us and shows us you have good taste."

9. Men prefer inexperienced women
"That's one of the great myths," admits Chuck, 52. "In reality, we'd rather be with someone who knows what they're doing."

10. Men are strong
"No," assures Michael, who just turned 40. "We're babies, especially when we've got a cold or you break our hearts.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I'm so glad they ended with that one *snuggles all the men, especially those with colds who've just had their hearts broken* heehee!

On a less... I dunno... on less of that level and more on another, the link below it was for new stills from the new LotR movie *G* http://entertainment.msn.com/photos/gallery.aspx?gallery=1714

Lovely, evil slashy thoughts.... I'm sorry, but are they doing this to us on purpose? Which is fine by me if they are... but yum...

Slashy Pics )

I know everyone's probably seen these before in a dozen places (I know I have) but I just had to share while I was in the mood *G*

KenxOmi

Just finished watching the Weiss Kreuz series again... I dunno how anyone can deny Ken/Omi after watching that last episode in particular. That blush Ken gets after Omi wishes them good luck... and how they totally cover each other's asses during the fight... though I really like all the boys' concern for each other throughout- they're not just fighting, they want to make sure they know the others are still all right all the time. And I still adore that Omi-catch Yoji makes *G*
And Omi's super care-giving talents (with Barman and Ouka fb). He's such a sweetie. Always looking out for Sakura when Aya's off being too angst-ridden to talk to her, bandaging Ken's hand after their first fight with Schreient. Yeah... I can work with that *G*

Anyway... as much as I can see Omi with Yoji... or even Ken with Yoji... I think I'm sticking with Ken and Omi. I dunno... I just like Ken. Same reason I love Mikey on QAF. The sweet, caring boy-next-door type. Of course, Michael doesn't go around murdering people. But then again, Michael doesn't have sexy claws and a leather jacket and a bright orange sweatshirt tired around his waist but never wears, now does it? *G*

I love my boys *G*

I'm terrible. I adore the movie Apollo 13. I saw it in theaters (in a cold theater, mind) and at least a dozen times since. But every time I watch, I enjoy it... but am secretly holding out for that "warming up" scene between Jim and a very cold Freddo. It's just so... adorable... watching Jim hug him and rub his arms to warm him up a little, and try and fill him with a little hope to help the poor guy get through it, running a high fever and all.
I'm absolutely terrible, but I ADORE that scene. *sigh* Such good friends. I've watched a lot of things about the space program- the entire Earth to the Moon series (twice) for example- because it's one of boyfriend's obsessions. And there's such an interesting dynamic among the perspective astronauts... different levels of existing (the old Gemini guys and the newbies, etc.) and that really comes out well in Apollo 13... but that hug... gods, it kills me! I just want to jump in there and warm 'em both up! *sigh*
It's such a spectacular movie and I still cry at it... but I always hold out for that scene, anxiously awaiting it every single time.
