Oohhhhhhh I'm really terrible...

I'm horrible, in fact. I have absolutely NO income right now... and I just spent $100 at Walmart. Technically, $105.19
Wow.
I bought important things like catfood and printer paper and folders... but also, erm, a mattress pad to put on my fouton so it doesn't hurt to sit down on it, a set of Yaffa blocks to hold my video tapes which are currently spread out on my floor in stacks with a radius of roughly four feet around the entertainment "cabinet"(which is just a big, deep shelving unit my parents had when they were in college and is literally wooden and in pieces) and... Highlander Season 2 on DVD.

YES! I know, I'm terrible! I can't afford it... but... it was all alone at the store... all the other copies bought and taken to loving homes and... well, I know I'll give it such a loving home... and I'm DYING to see the Euro minutes on some of these episodess... and I would have bought it anyway, it was only a matter of time... but... I'm terrible.

Speaking of terrible, I'm off to watch more of Apollo 13 (replaying it tonight) and wait for the lovely hugging "warm up" scene
I also like the ducttape "we have to build this using nothing but this" scene... but not as much as the warm hugging. Cute men *sigh*

John Kapelos!
I was watching another episode of Dead Like Me (which I still love, especially now that they don't keep recapping the same stuff over and over and over and over again- yes, she died, we got that already, can we maybe get the plot sometime this episode?)
And there in episode 6 is my John Kapelos! My absolutely number one favorite side-kick guy in the entire world. Never seen him in something I didn't like (especially the Breakfast Club and Forever Knight).
*sigh* Made for a good evening. THough I need food... maybe I'll make some pasta for dinner? Mmmm fake meatballs... yes...


On a completely unrelated note... I'm in the middle of a short Legolas sneezefic *G* Darn that Lady Korana for planting plot bunnies so close that they could nibble at me relentlessly until I wrote! Anyway... much more fun than writing the thesis. heehee!
AND my wavs seem to be uploading all right at the same time. So YAY! Everything's working out *G*

OK, I went ahead and posted my quick little Legolas story on sneezefic. *G* It's, er, written quickly. And it's an attempt at humor... which I'm not too great at, honestly. It's all in fun.

I'm off to shower and go to sleep for the night! Yes... the sun rose 2 hours ago. What's your point?

Guilt Trip

I thought maybe listing my unfinished babies might help me think about them while I'm doing thesis stuff...

• Under House Arrest- yes, I do mean to finish it. I was waiting until book 5. Now I have no excuse. LOL!
  
• Vampires- what I call my Ron-fic. I'm drying to share this one, but I need it finished, and then betaed... so I really want to get working on it
  
• Sirius/Remus halfway during OotP- I started this a few days ago... it's a really, really fun premise to work with, but it's very angst-filled and it's going slowly as such
  
• OC fic- An extension of that "unnamed Brittish guy with a cold" fic. The original character's on a train to Hogwarts (and he's a Ravenclaw) And I've practically written 80% of it in my head, just haven't had time to write it up yet
  
• Watermelon- Marauder fic, James has a cold- sort of like 'Strawberries' but a good sequel to 'Growing Up a Little' though I started it months ago
  
• One Minute to Midnight- I've started three separate endings... I need to finish them!
  
• Obi as an escort- I'm so terrible at getting motivated for allergy fics
  
• Another Tala story- Another OBi-Wan with a cold, Tala to the rescue-type story that I started and mean to finish
  
• There's at least one more "Legolas allergic to the bush" story in the works... possibly two...
  
• I really want to write a third in the Settling/Giving series... but all I really have is a strong opening scene
  
• Another Pirates fic- a sequel to Blacksmiths and other large B words in which Jack makes an appearance
  
• I also have the beginnings of another Omi/Ken Weiss fic... set during Gluhen (which I'm rewatching now... I'm up to episode 2)
  
• ER fic- Luka, a cold, lots of angst over dead family
  
• The Dead Zone- Johnny, guest appearance by Jim Byrnes' character, mystery, suspense
  
• Oh my gosh... TONS more from random fandoms... this is so embarrassing... not to mention at least 30 non fanfics... gah!
  

Bah... I'm determined to get these done!
I've been reading a LOT of Star Wars fics lately... getting side-tracked way too easily *G*

Busy day...

Went to bed after 9am... woke up at 2... not too bad...
Drove around campus (classes started today- ICK students are back! I don't like it) nearly got hit twice (one was my fault, the other was not)
but I paid my student fees, went across campus to sign paperwork so my tuition is paid for, and then BACK across campus to make an appointment at the health center (I'm out of birth control after this week- talk about cutting it close!)

Took two hours. Bleh! I definitely like summers better. Less students. And you can actually park on campus (imagine that!) We have about five commuters to one parking space on campus- and the school charges $70 a semester for parking but doesn't think a parking garage is a good idea. GAH! I don't get it!

Came home and YAY! The Steve McDonald CD I ordered in July finally came today! Listening to it now. This man can do NO wrong in my eyes. I know all his songs sound alike(well, ok, he has fast ones and slow ones, but that's the only difference) But I listen to music first for lyrics(the curse of the writer in me) and second for tune. And I like both so much with him *sigh* I'm SO happy. This made my week! :-)
Oh my gods... "Fly" is my new favorite song. *sniffles* Damnit, why do I always get inspired when I don't have time to write?

I'm going to go try and nap a little in front of highlander. I'm soo hot and thirsty after running around campus all afternoon. Ick. I hate the heat. And the sun. Not a very good pagan to do I make. LOL! Thank goodness it's going to be fall soon...
