TV tonight

I couldn't keep my eyes open again... but I managed to tape all of Clone Wars tonight. Those 'Fridays' kid hosts are really getting on my nerves, though. I can just see them ten years from now looking back at their tapes from Cartoon Network and saying "Holy &*$#! That's what we looked/sounded like? Why didn't anyone stop us?!" LOL
Anyhoo... I had a lot of sympathy for Ani in episodes 1 & 2. That's all gone now, the more I watch the series. He's just a show-off... and while I was sort of liking his relationship with Padme, now I'm just pissed at him for going against Jedi rules. I'm too much like Obi, I think.
Ohhhh but Obi! *sigh* VERY cute is General Obi! Writing a short fic to follow episode 9 now, I am. *G*

I watched Joan of Arcadia again tonight. I missed last week's episode thanks to the Matrix party... so I'm looking forward to reruns *crosses fingers* I really like that show. Even if I dont believe in God. I *like* flawed, realistic people on tv... and the family's full of them. And I like how little things that seem to make no sense at the time, end up making such huge impacts on people. The whole concept itself is odd, but the execution is fantastic, IMHO. And Jason Ritter... when he broke down crying in tonight's episode, he had me completely drawn in and captured. I'm SO impressed by his acting. Everyone on the show is great, but he really struck me as incredible tonight. Not unlike his father in the talent department... just drama, not comedy :-) (Though I've seen John Ritter in serious roles and it reminded me a LOT of Jason's performance tonight)
*Has sudden urge to re-watch 'The Dreamer of Oz'* Doubt I will, though(especially as it's at my parents' place). I always end up crying... or just feeling horribly depressed when the nosebleeds start happening to him. He wrote such fantastic books... and never got to see the movie... *sniffles*

After watching the Clone Wars again tonight... I just had to write a little something as a follow-up. Soaking wet Obi even in cartoon form is too nummy to resist *G*

Awwwwwww my poor little sick Jedi! *sniffles*
Sorry, this one kind of snuck out after writing the General Obi fic last night. It's 555 words... cuz I like that number and didn't want to kill it by making it 500 *EG*

Warning- Jedi who is sick to his stomach... but absolutely no actual v-word-ing here.

Another SW Drabble )

And wow! Silverelf gets the prize for the first challenge submission! And it's from FAKE! *drool* Oohhh! *wants desperately to peek!* I shall be good, though and satisfy myself with the lovely summary only :-)

Just coded the first story submission for the challenge! YAY! Thanks Silverelf!
Confession: TG had WAY too much fun selecting pictures for fandom-specific banners.

I'm so excited already! Too bad I don't get to do any fun writing for at least 5 days because I MUST write my thesis. Or as much of it as possible. I was going to take off for the week, originally (It's Thanksgiving Break) but no... must write entire thesis now... from 0 words to 500 pages or where-ever in-between it decides it's finished. I'm shooting for about 200, realistically. Which is... what? 4 'Under House Arrest's? :-) Or 5 'Hunter's Moon's? Yeah... great... should be fun *whines*

Triumph!

I'm terrified and a half... but I'm sitting down and I'm going to write my bloody thesis! Yes! I'm fleshing out the chapters as we speak!

I've put in Santa Claus: the movie which is my all-time favorite Christmas movie... and not just because a lad sneezes twice from a cold and lots of hurt/comfort goes on... though that's probably part of it. Its anti-capitalism spirit just sits well with me. And I adore the actors (I know, all the reviewers thought they sucked, but maybe I've got low standards?) and I think the reindeer are cute and... I dunno... I just love it. Has a lot of good messages about being good and taking care of people and not being in it for yourself, etc. Just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

And with this damn thesis, I need to be all warm and fuzzy inside, I'll tell you that much! :-)
