Another April, another comment fic meme here on my LJ!

PROMPTS | FILLS
Directions:
1. Post prompts. Any fandom and any pairing, as long as there is potential sneezing involved from a male character. There is no limit to how many prompts you can post.
2. Please warn for anything current that might be potentially spoilery! (I haven't seen a bit of Season 9 of Supernatural yet, so PLEASE don't spoil me!)
3. Prompt posting will be open while there's interest.
4. Reply to any prompts you like with art/drabbles/ficlets/fics in parts/links to fics in your LJ. If doing a link to your LJ, the entry must not be friends-locked. Please warn for anything that might be a trigger including something an emetophobe like me might have a problem with.
5. Prompts can have as many fills as people feel like writing. Just because one person has filled a prompt doesn't mean you can't write for that prompt as well. Different spins on the same thing are absolutely welcome!
6. There will be no deadline for fic responses. If you see a prompt you like and want to write it, go ahead! There's no limit to how many you can write either. WRITE THEM ALL!
7. Please feel free to pimp this on any communities and forums you think would be interested in this.
8. My birthday is April 19. I'm just saying...
All right, let the prompting and filling begin!

Fill: Kangaroo Pouch (3/3) (Avengers/MCU)
Date: 2014-04-08 07:44 am (UTC)“Phil,” Clint breathed out and hurried over to Phil, taking up the remaining space on the couch next to the man.
“Clint, I--” Phil began before his mouth was crushed underneath Clint’s lips. When Clint finished Phil’s lips were tingling so he licked them before continuing. “I was going to say caught a cold on my trip so you might not want to kiss me right now but I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.”
Clint sniffed hard and laughed, rubbing his nose against his shoulder. “You’re home. And you made tea. The strong stuff, too.” Clint sniffed again, catching a better whiff of the blend Phil only seemed to make when one of them was sick.
It was Phil’s turn to sneeze now into a tissue he had balled up in his hand. “Ugh, I forgot to bring a handkerchief so all I had was a packet of tissues that felt like sandpaper that Agent Blake happened to have in his bag.”
Clint leaned over and kissed the tip Phil’s nose while pulling the handkerchief from his pocket. “Well then this is going to feel really good,” he said while holding the cloth against Phil’s nose. “Blow.” Clint felt the fabric become warm and wet under his hand as Phil finished blowing with a satisfied sigh.
“Thanks, I needed that,” Phil smiled at Clint and took the handkerchief from Clint’s hand.
Clint nodded before turning away just in time to catch a quick sneeze into the crook of his arm. “I think you might have already been coming down with a cold before you left because I got sick, too,” Clint managed with a snuffle, rubbing his nose with the cuff of the left sleeve once again.
When he turned back to Phil he was there with a kiss for his forehead. “Why are you doing that? You know I’ve got plenty of handkerchiefs set out on the dresser.”
Clint shrugged as he toed off his Converse so he could tuck his legs up on the couch. “Just habit, I guess.” He watched as Phil reached over and took a blanket over from the chair next to the couch.
Phil draped the blanket over both of them then reached under the blanket until he found Clint’s hand inside the sweatshirt’s pocket. He took Clint’s hand in his own and sighed contently as Clint turned on the TV.
“You haven’t started watching the latest episode of ‘Dog Cops’ without me, have you?”
Phil shook his head as he brought up the handkerchief to his face to catch a sneeze and blow his nose after. "So, you're doing the next load of laundry? Since you're wearing my sweatshirt as a handkerchief and all, right?"
Re: Fill: Kangaroo Pouch (3/3) (Avengers/MCU)
Date: 2014-04-09 01:36 am (UTC)My favorite bit: “Clint, I--” Phil began before his mouth was crushed underneath Clint’s lips. When Clint finished Phil’s lips were tingling so he licked them before continuing. “I was going to say caught a cold on my trip so you might not want to kiss me right now but I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.”
I think I've read this paragraph, like, a hundred times now. I just love the description of the kiss and him licking his lips and every single word of his dialogue, how he says it and what he says even though it's too late. The word might and "I was going to say caught a cold" without the "I caught a cold" and GUH! The kiss! I just LOVE this whole paragraph!
Really, the whole thing was fantastic. Natasha pushing him, and her comment about how the Avengers don't get sick days when the bad guys strike (aw, but there are no bad guys here so thank goodness she let him go!).
And the HOODIE! His comment about the pouch and it being Clint's and the fact that they went to Hard Rock Café, Copenhagen together and Clint got a hoodie. And them both having colds at the same time. And all the handkerchief feeling for comfort and Clint's bit about how it was going to "feel really good" and Phil's "Thanks, I needed that" and smile and oh GODS that's my second favorite part, easily. So wonderful. The way Coulson holds Clint's hand in the pocket, snuggling under the blanket together, and that kiss--have I mentioned how much I love that kiss? Guh, this whole fic is so good. Clint practicing not sneezing in the elevator. Clint sneezing into the pillow and trying to remember to change the pillowcase later. Clint's "I told you I was sick" to Natasha. Clint repeatedly asking Coulson to answer the phone. Clint complaining with an "aw" when the cold starts to progress to sneezing. And the whole scene with the two of them. Especially the kiss. Have I mentioned the kiss and Coulson's words before and after? Man, I love that.
Re: Fill: Kangaroo Pouch (3/3) (Avengers/MCU)
Date: 2014-04-11 09:08 pm (UTC)I am so happy I was able to fill your great prompt! And I am even more happy that you liked it so much! I really, really appreciate your great feedback. It has made me happy the past few days, going back and reading it, it helps me know all the good things I should put in when I do my next fill.
And that paragraph you mentioned that you love so much and read a hundred times? That happened to be the one I loved writing the most and took the most time on. So glad it turned out so well.
I had to add the "Aw, sneezes, no" part because in the Matt Fraction Hawkeye comic he says "Aw, ______" a lot. "Aw, coffee, no." when the coffee spills. "Aw, car, no" when his car floats away in a storm. I think I will add in a line like that every fic I write with Clint now.
Gah! I have so many feels for Clint/Coulson going on right now. On the TV show Coulson has been getting whumped real good both physically and emotionally lately (I actually said "Poor baby" out loud about a dozen times during the last episode) and all I can think is that I can help him by putting him in snuggly fics with Clint. Yeah, I have a one track mind right now so I will definitely be working on filling more of your prompts soon.
Thank you so much for all of it once again. :-)

Date: 2014-04-12 04:46 am (UTC)So cool that you enjoyed that same paragraph. Your care and attention to it definitely showed. Goodness gracious, Phil, how can you be SO attractive?
Oh, and now I DEMAND an "Aw, ____, no" variation in every Hawkeye fic you write! :-) That is so adorable. Go Fraction! Go YOU!
